Gauging some interest-
May pull my 7 SAUM barrel from an anTi short action- 22" Proof Sendero Lite, 1-8T, seamless titanium brake, SAAMI chamber, less than 100rds, cerakoted patriot brown-- built by Alamo Precision Rifles. Would include: 4 Boxes Remington Premier 7SAUM- 160gr Nosler Partition, 73rds factory ammo and 7 pieces of once fired brass as well as my remaining 162 ELDM loads in ADG brass and H4831sc and possibly and extra 100 unfired ADG.
Shoots very well and tested loads with:
162 ELDM-- went with this for long range deer-- 2925fps, negligble recoil 169 Hammer Hunter-- 2880fps 175 ELDX-- 2825fps 175 Elite Hunter-- 2775fps 180 Hybrid-- 2760fps
Never stepped on the loads to get velocity up went with what was 1/2 moa or better.
Going to probably move to a standard bolt or even a .384 and built this into a rifle for my kids and stick to my long actions for distance and big critteres.

Really tough to get ammo and components.
You did not "seen" anything, you "saw" it. A "creek" has water in it, a "crick" is what you get in your neck. Liberals with guns are nothing but hypocrites.

Pardon my ignorance but how is this a left handed item? Selling just the barrel and ammo, or am I reading this wrong?

Well it's a left handed rifle; I'm feeling out just rebarreling vs selling the LH barreled action-- already had PMs on both. As far as components- very true as to not finding much factory ammo-- but aftermarket support is fine for brass and with 200 pieces of ADG brass I think you'd be hard pressed to shoot through it all over and again to where you'd run out. It is certainly a lightweight (sub 7 1/4lb) w/ scope and all so not a bench gun.

I'd be interested in the bolt. I have a LH short action that needs a magnum bolt.

Well right now it's looking like the most productive and cost effection option might be to move the whole barreled action.
In addition to astronomical increases to action prices Defiance nearly double the cost of a simple replacement bolt. $545 plus shipping the action to and from them.

You guys buying/building these high dollar customs, might as well stay married to them because when you get a divorce (send them down the road), it's going to bite you in the azz. AKA: cost you a lot of money. You get totally upside down in a rifle and then want to do it all over again. Do yourself a favor and buy your kids a Tikka, a good scope to go on top and let them shoot till their hearts content. You will be so much money ahead, but don't get pizzed when the Tikka outshoots your high dollar custom.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Very myopic and uninformed opinion.
No doubt Tikkas are a fine rifle- but there are trade offs and depending on your use, type of hunting, distance, critter, or even the 'handedness' etc you can't find what you want or need in a Tikka or any other factory rifle for that matter. That is why there are custom actions, stocks, barrels, etc-- to fill those niches. I could go on for days about why I went the route I did, now needs have changed.
Owned several customs, kept some and released some for various reasons. Never taken a bath on any of them for the exact reasons I mentioned above. Quality components filling specific niches and someone else has the same niche- not to say I made all my money back but never got bitten or lost my azz. I'd venture to say its that way for most folks who go the custom route unless they really intentionally choose something that is rare, weird or generally not useful.
For a kids gun I'm sure a Tikka would be fine but if I have the parts for a great rifle I'd just as soon use them and make a swap if it works or appears worthwhile for me.
In the meantime no need to clutter this thread, thanks for your opinion.

Sounds like a great rifle - wish it were a righty.
