Here is a rifle I picked up a while back, have yet to shoot it, so I’ve decided to let go of it.
It looks to be a Remington 700 CS from the 80’s where the prior owner taped/refinished the stock and added a muzzle break. Weighs about 6lbs 12oz as it sits.
Definitely has been hunted and enjoyed, but not abused.
Please feel free to ask any questions you might have.
$1100 shipped to your FFL as long as they accept rifles from individuals.
Thanks

Yep, it is pretty neat! It looks like it was painted pink, black tape added and then a clear coat applied. It is well done and the tape gives just enough texture to help with grip.

What is the serial number prefix? Stock is presumably synthetic?
Edit - yes, b should be brown. No date code on barrel?

If the new owner is interested, I also have an unopened set of Hornady Dies and 4 boxes of Hornady Superformance 139gr SST ammo.

What’s the length of barrel to the muzzle brake; and if you have time, what does it mic at that point?

Always thought it was interesting the “custom shop” barrels barely got a cartridge stamping & nothing more, almost as an honorable mention. It was always an instant flag that it is a custom shop barrel.

It is. What’s curious to me is that I’ve not seen one from that era without a date stamp on the barrel.
Best I’ve been able to figure it was around 2005-2006 when they started stamping “Remington Custom Shop” on the top of the barrel.
