A friend has a NIB Winchester Legendary Frontiersman in 38-55 caliber he's thinking of selling. This one has the silvered receiver and the box and all literature that came with them. What are these bringing these days?

They will bring $1000 without much trouble. $1200 is about the max. You will see them on GunBroker with starting prices of $1495 - $1695 but they never sell.

Yes, as with most of the Winchester commemoratives, they made too many of them to be collectible.

Personally I have thought of buying one of these but not to collect.... but to shoot. A nice 38-55 with good wood is worth 1000-1200...
The worst thing ever to happen to cops is the personal video recorder... Now people can see the truth
