All of mine are my favorite!

Pre-64 70 338 WM out of the old Winchester Custom Shop. My wife gave it to me for Christmas about twenty years ago.

Cooper model 21 in 223 with 1-10 twist.

It is the one that usually goes out the door with me. It shoots honest 5 shot 1/2" groups with a top load of VV-133 and 40 gr Nosler BT's - and of all things a Leupold scope.

All of my favorites aren't mine.

Ouch tough call. Might be an A-5 "Magnum Twenty" Made in Belgium or could be a M70 standard in .243 made in 1959...could be a .270 FW Pre-64....this is so hard...Sweet Sixteen with a VR Modified????

My favoritism varies, depending on time of year. (Varies nearly as much as the optics that the favorites might wear). Right now, I would likely say it's probably this cheapo PSA 18" AR15. It's super easy to shoot well, it's quiet, and I don't worry about getting it nasty.














Nearly as fond of this Sig Cross 6.5 for similar reasons.

Followed closely by my 1973 S&W 629 9 inch barrel in 44mag, can you say Dirty Harry.

Tough choice. Put a gun to my head and it'll come down to one of these two. One's my favorite for hunting, the other for a day of screwing around at the range:

I guess I'd go with my Remington 760 in .270. Carbine. My first one was my saddle gun when I owned an outfitting business in Northern Idaho. That weapon put a ton of game out of their misery. Funny thing is I don't think I really hunted much with it. When you hunt with clientele for several months you're pretty much burned out by the end of the season. The sad part is at the end of the season, on our last hunt, we had a major snow storm. We rushed the clients and their game to the airport and I stayed to break camp. The plan was for me to take a pack team over the mountain to Wallace Idaho about 18 miles. I left and the snow was almost chest high on the horses. I left the put wood in the stove and left. For some dumb reason I put my rifle under my bed roll in camp. When I got to Wallace, about 5 hrs later, one of the guides called me and told me the tent burned down to snow level. My gun was destroyed. I bought another one which I have today. Not a Carbine but it works. Every time I look at it it I think of the outfitting days.

The fenceline hunters jammomatic Rem 7400 next property over. Guaranteed 1 and done then deer move to my side. I just smile and wave every time I see him toting that POS.

A tough call on this. Didn't want to admit a newer Glock I have might be in the running, or a 69 year old 22 rifle.

But with some thought, it might be a 5.5" SS super blackhawk. It was a Bisley for a few years until Ruger offered one from the factory. So I put an aluminum grip frame & ejector housing on it. Reduced the all stainless configuration weight to that of a Smith Mt. Gun Or an all SS Single Six. 37-38 ounces, same as a blue 45 Colt in same length. A wonderful size & weight for the power & controllability available.
I know I need picks on this. But its just a BH. A good one. Last deer was with it.

Thompson Contender for me. I have 2 frames with several different barrels with a 10 inch 45 Colt being the most used right now. I try to fire it most days.

I think the last one I'd let go of would be my Husky in 270.
