Stockholm Syndrome ..........
Austardians are a mentally raped people, they've been slaves to the English for eternity & will obey all directives as commanded ...
The AUS know nothing about reality, truth & freedom... they are nothing more than meat puppets

A friend's dad was in the South Pacific fighting the Japs in WWII I remember him saying that there were no tougher fighters than the Aussies. I'd like to see these keyboard commandos blabber like this in a bar somewhere in Oz.

The odd part is these Aussies acting as if it is funny they have been treated so poorly and made complete fools of. Incredible.

Hey Big. Jim. Do you personally know anybody here that needs a gun for protection? Edk I suppose it depends on where you live to a certain degree. I have relatives in their 70's who live in Rhode Island who don't own any firearms or have ever needed any for self defense.

Big cities with lots of minorities is where you would need a gun in the USA. The other 99.9 percent of the country not so much. Edk

I'd think that Australians need guns for self-protection for the same reasons that I personally do. When I was in North-West Queensland on a job, we ran into very large saltwater crocodiles. There are no saltwater crocodiles here, but there are wolves, mountain lions and even black bears. Granted the black bears are no big deal, but I had a wolf facing me and my pooch a few years ago. Now, I like guns around because of rabid animals also. My nephew had a mountain lion follow him down a mountain side. After that he wore a Ruger on his hip when hiking in the mountains. There are people around here that have no guns and they don't seem to feel it's life or death matter, I guess usually that would be the same case for me, with exception of that wolf. For my nephew I suspect that Ruger on his hip may not be a necessity, but he likes to wear it when hiking in the mountains. I only spent 6 months in Sydney and a short time in Melbourne, neither place did I feel the need for a handgun.
I suspect there are places in Australia that a gun in hand would make one a little more comfortable.
I've spent some time in big cities in the USA. I was stationed at Quantico for 6 months and went to Washington DC when I could, there was an incident that many would have felt more comfortable with a handgun. Some of my buddies and I went to a blood draw where they were paying for a pint of blood. Our pay was about $300/month and the extra $15 was appreciated. When we left the place there was a gang of youths with knives and they wanted the $15. When they saw that there more than a few of Marines, they took tail and ran. It may not have been that way with some college co-eds.
As far as how tough Australians are, again I suspect it makes a difference where they were raised. If they had to work hard for a living such as in the "Outback", I suspect they can hold there own with most. You live a tough life and the toughness wears off on you.

I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

Give us a break.
Show us where there was much resistance at all.
Some...sure. But not very much.
It's a bit baffling.
