Do you have them where you live? I had 30 or more on my place at one time, but we had a couple of bad drought’s, wiped most of them out.

Got a few.

Most everything is in bloom except the pecan trees. No green on them yet.

Old timers didn’t plant their garden until the Pecans showed a little green

This cool front we’re now having is proof of that. Supposed to drop into the 30s fairly soon with this next front.

The Spring woods here are full of them during turkey season, redbuds too. Lots of other wildflowers at the same time, including columbines, Virginia Bluebells, trillium, mayapples, and scads of violets.

Went to Buchan last week because of the dogwoods and white bass. They were just starting to think of heading up the Colorado.

And the catfish were still not in the shallow coves.

I am planting 10 redosier dogwoods this year. Does that count? As well as 30 highbrush cranberry and 10 American plum.

Had some kind of blight come through a couple of years ago and wiped out most of the dogwoods in this end of the state. My mother lost some that were nearly 100 years old that her grandmother planted in the yard . Still see a few in the edges of the woods ,don't know how long they will last.

Had literally hundreds of them here on my place years ago. There were so many, that when they were in bloom it looked like everything was covered in white. Then the dogwood trees here started dying, and there are only a few left today, compared to what once was. I love the dogwoods and redbuds, and they're among my favorite trees.

I like the smell of the dogwoods. I have a spot that I turkey hunt at near a field edge that’s always full of dogwood in bloom the third weekend in April.

I've always enjoyed seeing the Dogwoods begin to bloom; I enjoy the scent of dogwoods.
