Just thought I would like to say goodby to all of you “savage collector” folks. I just celebrated my 80th birthday and decided it was time to find good homes for my remaining two Savage rifles. One was my 3O3 99 and the other was my 22 high power 99. So they are both gone to good friends who I know will take good care of them. You folks have been so accommodating and so nice to be acquainted with over the past five years that I have been a part of this website. Your help and information has been invaluable to me. I’m not leaving the website forever because now the only thing left in my arsenal is my Ruger 17 and I will be picking up where I left off with you under the “rim fire” forum.
THANK YOU ALL.

Hi Wispsey, Happy Birthday I just celebrated my 76th. Keep using that Ruger 17, it will keep you in the game. I just purchased a Savage 99EG in .308 Win. Beautiful rifle, I can hardly wait for warmer weather to sight it in. Like you, the people I have met here are the best. Wishing you the best. God Bless.

Happy Birthday!!!!!!!! Hope you have a great summer shooting.
I'll turn 80 in July. not quite ready to quit collecting 99's. Making sure the grand kids have 22's from my collection.
Plan is to burn up 700 17 hmr and couple thousand 22's along with some 17 hornets and 204. Lot of ground squirrels to shoot.
Best of Luck,
Bill

Happy B-Day, and enjoy the Ruger. Over the last two years I've bought 4 Savage and Stevens 22 target rifles. Those things are such a blast to shoot. People can't believe that rifles over 100 years old can shoot as well as these do.

I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

Remember, you don't need a rifle to participate here just an interest.

RimfireCentral is another good forum for your 17HMR questions.
