Anybody tried one? 4.5 or 5 inch, I'm trying to talk myself out of it. I hear the first ones had some issues but it didn't sound like anything I can't take care of myself or just send it back.
It'd be a range toy for me, my competition days are all in the past.

I got to shoot a 5" recently. I wasn't impressed. The slide hung when I racked it, and the gun had a heavy awkwardness to it. If I was in the market, mine would be 4.4".

I played with them at SHOT show. Didn't get to shoot them but they felt really good. Really really good. Trigger was great too. It's less than half the price of a Staccato - which I've also played with. Staccato is little more refined, but not even close to 200% better as Staccato's price would suggest. 1911/2011's take some break in; there's a lot of rail surface area that needs to be perfectly mated. And generally they like to be run wet.

Remake of the Para-Ordnance 14-45 from the 1990s!

Disassemble clean/lube. Fixed trigger. Range trip yesterday. 15yds offhand,3 different loads on top 2 and bottom right. Lower left is a control group from a 5in S&W M&P CORE with Trijicon RMR with known good load. I zero it a bit right to comp for my pulling left when in a hurry. I'm gonna stick a RD on it and try again. Pistol ran great even with low pressure loading.
