Maybe you could try the Remington society collector site.

Sounds like a quick google search is in order..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I have a 30-30 and a 44Mag. I've been looking for total quantity of each of these made. So far, no luck
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

.243 Carbine , wouldn't take a farm in Georgia for it. Always wanted a .44 Mag .
Grumpy old man with a gun.....Do not touch . Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. Don't bother my monument and I'll leave yours alone.

I have just one. .308 Winchester. Same here, but it's a 30-30: I also had a Remington 788 in .30-30, decades ago, which made for one outstanding cast bullet rifle. But, it was the same old sad story: I let it get away. There have been recent opportunities to replace it with lesser quality specimens, but my Savage 219 in .30-30 shoots cast bullets far too well to warrant my acquiring just any old .30-30 788: 100 yards. Sold this .223 788 at a recent local gun show: 200 yards.
Every dayβs an adventure.

Last year at the Wanamaker show in Tulsa was a lady that had every 788 made on her tables, Multiples of some calibers including the holy grail 44 magnum. I suspect she will be here again this year.

JD45: Every Remington 788 I have ever owned shot "better" than I would think such a light barreled "inexpensive" (at the time!) Rifle should/could shoot! Sadly my personal preference for "classic/handsome" Rifles got the better of me over the years, and I have sold off all but one of my many 788's - a super accurate specimen in 223 Remington is all I have left. I often wonder what the mental midgets at Remington were "thinking", over the years, with their many and varied mistakes??? Sad that. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Back in the mid 70's I bought one new in 308. First new rifle I ever bought and it shot better than I can. Really accurate for a "cheap" rifle.
Lost that and a pre 64 in 30-06 financing a divorce.....I have quite a few rifles now but still wish I had those two back....

I have a 7mm-08 and a 243 22". Both in very good condition. 243 looked like new. No marks on stock and most of the blueing on the bolt until it fell off my golf cart. i was trying to find the number produced by cartridge and year. Tried google search with no info I am looking for. I am just curious. I have had many over the years also. All shot well. Never had 30-30 or 44 mag.

Evnin, had a 6mm lefty I bought new late 60s early 70s. Would shoot about an inch but it was my first re stocking & glass job, boy I must have not done not to bad of a job. Shot better than some more expensive rifles I've bought. Stock was ok but not great. GWP. πΎπ£πΎπ£π¨π¦
