OP wyo1895 Campfire Tracker Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 6,519 Wyoming	I have 4. Unfortunately I didn't get one for the 1895's and early 1899's. 1912 vintage 1899 SRC. Due to the short rear sight the dovetail is closer to the receiver ring. Serial #1278xx 1920 vintage 1899A takedown, serial #2162xx 1928 vintage 99K, serial #3094XX, this is the same length as serial #2162xx. One of the nice things about the Lightfoot mount is that there are very few limitations on the scopes that can be mounted. The following photo shows a 7/8" Lyman Alaskan on a Lightfoot mount with rings that are probably Redfield. Any rings that will fit the Leupold mount will work. The following two photos show the length from the barrel dovetail to the rear of the receiver ring that would be required for a Lightfoot mount for most of the 1895's and early 1899's. Mike requested that the buyer measure this distance for the early rifles. I sent him that measurement for the mount on my SRC pictured above. 1895, serial #516X 1899, serial #1809XX 1895, serial #442X, the distance is shorter possibly because it came factory equipped with a tang sight and a Lyman #6 rear sight.
