I traded into a CZ 455 stainless. I am curious as to the value of the rifle. I am also wondering about the ability to swap barrels and the availability of barrels. Are barrels available in 17 HM2?

I bought a used CZ-455 SS Lux last Spring for $500 CDN = ca $350-ish USD. Very lightly used, ca 3-500 rounds, stock in immaculate cond. If your is in wood stock that could keep the value up ca $4-500, a bit less for synth IMO. 'Pends on the market where you live. As for barrels, you can use any made for 455-457s, availability varies. I'd check GB and CZ-USA.

I had one in a nice walnut stock from the CZ store. Very fetching, but I let it go as things were getting out of hand around here. Last I checked, factory barrels seem only to be available on Gunbroker. The CZ store seems to be perennially out of stock. Aftermarket barrels are available from several sources, and all are very expensive.
What fresh Hell is this?

I might try a Mach2 if I thought it was a quality product.

I have a 455 stainless in 17hmr. Very accurate and a really handy rifle. Its my favorite rimfire I own. Or at least the one that goes to the woods most often.
I got it on close out when they were discontinued for about $350 and I wish I would have bought several more. I also bought a CZ factory barrel in 22 mag at the same time. I've actually never used it but it was cheap and figured it be good to have since I had 22 mag ammo on hand. Seems easy enough to switch over.
If you get tired of yours let me know and I'd relieve you of that problem!

Pappy-
I've not seen a Mach2 barrel out there. I'd love to have one too. Let me know if you find a source.
Thanks
