What guide can be used to figure a selling price for my 2011 Chevy Avalanche. I looked at KBB and it seems low, although I am partial to my truck, $9700 to $12300 KBB.

The problem is- even if you feel it's low, your customers are using the same KBB valuation to determine if your pricing is right or not.

That said 2011 - that's 12 years old already.

Price out what car max will pay you and add a little if you sell it yourself

Sounds a bit low if it’s reasonable mileage and clean.

Cargurus is a good place to compare.

Put the price you want or expect, to recieve! Then just wait for the buyer. Someone will be happy to pay what you want. Be patient!

Ha, I forgot about the yellow Avalanche story. No, it's White Diamond with out a winch!!! It has 146000 miles, almost all highway miles as my wife keeps me on the road to her home state of Ky. I am going to sell it myself and have looked at carmax. Also cruising local dealers and checking prices. I drive it and wonder why I am selling it, but did order a new Chevy and it should be here soon. Thanks for the replies

Don’t discount car max if they are close by. When I sold a car to them I was on my way home with a check within 90 minutes of showing up.
Sometimes the loss of a little cash is worth not having to put up with all the tire kickers and scammers.

They are great trucks. Perfect multi purpose. 👍 I loved mine but then a tree fell on it.

Yes, I know a guy who had good luck with a Carmax offer. My closest is 112 miles away. A few things that are important to me doesn't have any bearing to online criteria. I'm original owner and this has been garage kept since new. I bought it a couple years after I retired so it's been babied. Thanks guys, I am going to put it out at the end of the driveway, if I can get my wife to move it. Right knee replaced last Thursday!!!

If that number were closer to 5 in 11 I’d say the banks would be on the right track.

Agree. I had a 2003, 2011 and a 2013. They worked perfect for what I wanted, but ended up going back to a pick up as I needed more cargo room for my bbq competition gear.
