I posted this in Rimfires with no responses, so I figured it is worth posting up here in the Zoo. I mean the Campfire.
Is anyone using a GSL Flea suppressor on their 22lr pistol?
I’m looking for the smallest, lightest one for pretty much permanent use on a Ruger 22/45.
It has a noise reduction rating of 29db. There’s a GSL Woodland which has a 40db rating waiting in the Treasury jail, that will work fine but I would like another suppressor that is a bit smaller/lighter for use on the 22/45.
Is 29db reduction enough to be used without hearing protection?

Dumb question I know, but I assume a suppressor has to be in stock at the time of submitting for a stamp?

Yes. You buy the suppressor and the serial number on the suppressor is put on the e-file application

I bought a lane titanium 22lr suppressor. It's rated up to 22 hornet and they tested it with an AR, it survived but they didn't recommend it. Not sure on yours though.
I do use mine on a 22/45 lite and the diameter of the barrel matches the suppressor. Burris fast fire 3 is perfect on it. It's a fun little machine to operate. My kids love it

Not sure if it's a direct equivalency but most ear plugs are rated at 25 to 30 dB.
