In the loony world of gun ownership, sometimes things just don’t make sense. Like selling an exceptionally handsome rifle that also happens to shoot great.
Keeping this rifle won’t affect me negatively. I guess that’s a good place to be coming from, since I’m considering selling it.
The facts are - I’m running out of years to put it into hunting opportunities that it was built for. I’d like to think someone else would enjoy hunting it. No tears, should it walk away.
I figured I’d do a ‘Show & Tell’ on the rifle here before I officially put it up for sale.
I think I had it built in 2019 or 2020 by Alamo Precision Rifle. It was called ‘The Classic Hunter’.
It has a straight fluted 25” 1-9 Brux barrel measured at the ‘Gill’ type brake that is removable. Barrel Cerakote is mimic blueing.
The Rem 700 clone action is case hardened, stamped APR, but made by Thompson Leh. Specs on the receiver are linked below. Bolt is spiral fluted.
https://aprifles.com/products/aprThe bottom metal is a BDL with a TriggerTech Primary that’s at a crisp 2lbs.
The stock is a McMillan Hunter McWalnut with both flush cups and swivel stud. Red recoil pad as suggested by SKane.
I have a soft cheek riser attached to the comb. It is made by a guy named Michael @
www.God-a-Grip.com. It’s attached with an adhesive that is removable without harming the stock. I have several of these comb pads on other builds. I have removed them without any issues or damage to the stock.
I would consider selling the rifle and the Zeiss V4 6-24x50 as a turn-key. The scope has a ballistic turret that was built for boxed Nosler 140 grain BT’s. I never did any load work for this rifle after seeing how good it shot the 140gr BT. The reticle is ZMOA-1
Rifle weighs 7.8lbs naked. The Zeiss V4 weighs 24oz. This rifle has under 40 rounds on it. It’s in perfect condition and would ship in its hard case.
If interested. Feel free to PM me to chat about a price.
Apologies if anyone is red-assed over this. In a perfect world, I’d rather see this build go to a participating Fire member than a classified cowboy. -Beav
Now for what it did today on the range, which is the same it’s always done since it was zeroed @ 100.
Inside pic of the case hardened action.
Cold bore, then two more rounds fired this morning.
Instagram pic APR put up when my build was done.
