Wineries in downtown Grapevine are fun.
The Big Fish restaurant in Grapevine is pretty good. Park behind it, not on the main street.

If you can get away quick enough Holland and Holland is the store to visit. Parking on the street is odd. I just park anywhere I can put a rent car. You enter through a High End jewelry store and up the stairs.
I need a GPS to get there. South East of Grapevine.
EVERYONE in the store is friendly and a gun person. The selection of used guns is first rate. They are pleased to show you anything.

There used to be a precision shooter who ran The Reload Bench on Ballpark Road but moved to North Beltlne. He runs a small lot print shop but always has time to talk reloading and classic airplanes. V.V. powder and many sets of case forming and wildcat dies. It was one of the best places ever to discuss case forming, wildcat and load development. A Square was across the street, a long time ago, I never went there.

About 25minutes ar less to H&H.

Grapevine is closer. Maybe 15 minutes to Bass Pro and the Mall. Downtown Grapevine is easy from theairport.

I did not mention Safari Club International. Harder to get to but everyone is nice. They enjoy giving tours. Every office has a trophy and lots of good art sprinkled around.

On 2nd thought, forget Grapevine, South Oak Cliff sound like a good option for you.
