Straight flutes on the barrel and spiral on the bolt. Blowin' the whistle on a rifle fashion faux pas. You need a spiral fluted barrel in the opposite direction of the bolt to maintain proper yin-yang balance

I'm a mix-and-match kinda guy, too... silver metal, target gray rings, black scope and I go both ways... target gray metal, black scope and silver rings.

The fluting looks great. LRI fluted the bolt on my T3x awhile back. Thanks, And I hope you own a good shop vac, Dirt and failure is on the way…………….. I just wrap the rifle solid in electrical tape from just before the recoil lug back to the wrist. Ejection is a problem but it stays super clean.
When I die I hope I don't start voting democrat.

He can spend his money anyway he wants but the fact is fluting serves no purpose other than visual. It does introduce dirt to the inside of the action. The sole purpose of fluting that bolt was ‘visual’, Mission completed perfectly. The dirt introduction is so pointless I won’t even address it. You guys ok with the matte black finish on the scope? Interested on your thoughts on that has well. Caliber or cartridge need to be changed or discussed while were at it? Please do feel free to tell me what I should buy or spend my money on, after all, this is all about you. I've shot Tikkas since 1998. I think it looks great and can't imagine many animals that you can't take easily with that setup. The idiots that critique how you spend your money wouldn't even warrant a response from me.
It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

That’s a beauty, Sako.
What did it cost you for the build?

Had Karl Kampfield flute my Tikka bolt, That long ass bolt with the most mundane look ever on the entire rifle never sat righ with me, Before, After, duh…….. Well done Karl, Nice touch, But, thinking maybe I should have had him flute the bolt knob also? It ever ends…………….. My favorite style of fluting and it really dresses up a tikka!

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.
The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.
Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

Karl just finished up my 6mm creed build. To say I’m pleased is an understatement. Flabbergasted more like. Hart #2 flutted, McMillan Edge G&H stock, ancient rem 700 action, triggertech trigger, Hawkins OD BM [ Oh hell ya…Nice….Thread hijack of the best kind……Let us know how it shoots… How long for the build?

Looks great. I’ve had some done by Karl and LRI. In my opinion, both do very nice work, and there’s a big price difference. The gain is cosmetic for me. The weight loss and other so called attributes are insignificant.
