There is an outfit here that runs a charter there so it was pretty easy. They have tables, rooms and meals lined up, etc so it makes it pretty easy for a first timer.

I am splitting a table with a guy and I can't wait. I will probably act like a chipmunk on crack.

I will miss this one. Haven't missed a spring show in 5 or 6 years. Always have had the opportunity to share a table or two with my cousin from Arkansas. Hopefully my son and friend will be able to make it if work allows. Friday is the day to be there if you can get a pass (try your best to do this)! The last two years we have rented a VRBO in a nice neighborhood in Broken Arrow. That has been a great decision with all of the overbooked motels, and when you spread it around to 5 -7 folks, it costs less.
Watch out for the severe weather out there later this week. I've been too close to it this past Friday night, and they are already talking up a repeat starting in OK on Thursday!
Be safe, Have Fun, and enjoy it. Nothing like that show anywhere!

Ok, who is going? This will be my first trip there and I am pretty excited. Any other 'fire members going? It was a favorite destination of Ethan Edwards (late regular at the Fire, and friend of mine). One day, I always figured we'd meet up there. Never been, myself.

I am going strictly to buy things I WANT. There is nothing that I NEED but it sure sounds like a good time. I just hope the casino we are staying at isn't a dump.

"Mecca" for true "loonies!!!"
Been twice myself back in the late 90's and really hope to make the pilgrimage at least one more time.
Don't go if you cannot deal with crowds and associated chaos. Cash is king. If you see something good or that you really want... you better buy it! No guarantees that it will be there when you return AND that is if you can find it again! Tons of knowledge there and some of the best examples of interesting firearms and associated "stuff" that you will ever see... in person. The "web" experience may have dampened the effect a little... I hope not.
That was my experience anyway...

Been every year for at least the last ten years. Usually end up going both days. Last year me and a friend had a couple of tables. Bad thing about that is your kinda stuck there. Crowds weren't near as large as in previous years but still manage to sell a few items and came out with more than I went in with. To really enjoy the show, you need to go both days. There's a lot to see/buy and if you don't find it there, it may not exist. And, its hard to cover both floors in one day. Its been $10 per day as long as I can remember. This year they raised the admission to $15 on Sat and $10 on Sunday. Lots of vendors left early on Sunday because the crowd was so small. If you go, enjoy.

I had a table there once, about twenty years ago. Certainly the best of gun shows, at least then. That's the only show I've been to where I got tired of looking at guns. Never saw about the last ten rows on the upper floor. Long four hour or so drive for me, but many probably travel much farther than I did.

We arrive early afternoon on Friday to set up and will be there until 4 on Sunday. If I sell a couple of things, great but I hope to aquire some new model 70's and as much clean, factory wood as I can carry.

I live near Tulsa and quit going about 10 years ago. Too crowded for me.

Tony I am going to an "All you can eat" corned beef and cabbage feed Friday night. Crowds on Saturday shouldn't be an issue for me.

Been there once and enjoyed it. Bought some stuff. But too far to travel to and one can buy just about anything on the internet. Two of my brothers that live a few hours from it will go. Have fun to those that attend.
