I was wondering the same thing. That can't be right. I've read use in the US is very high. I know a poor women trying to get off them. Big pharma strikes again!!!

No, it think it just interferes with the pain sensations. The dose is below that normally used for depression. Doesn’t affect mood, etc. I’m still as A**hole AND DON’t YOU FORGET IT 😁

I had a TBI skull fracture with 2" slivers of bone "swinging inward" slicing brain matter. The area is ½" forward and ½" above my left ear.
I am on 3 separate mood altering medications to counteract seizures, headaches, PTSD symptoms.
I used to believe that a person didn't need antidepressants or other mental health related drugs. They just needed to snap out of it, grow up, put on your big boy pants and deal with it.
After the TBI, I have been humbled to that kind of thinking.....

depression seems to be an alphabet soup of a lot of things , it's like an alcoholic who wants to kill the pain and hide from the demon. what pain and what demon?

I usually take it around 6 PM but if I forget and take it at bedtime, it takes a while for me to get to sleep.

Am an expert in the past.
Woman vocalist I was seeing dropped her purse and probably 6 or more prescriptions containers fell out onto the floor. Didn't help her Borderline Personality Disorder...much.

Cant see where the studies defines antidepressant, or which group of drugs left/included. Prescription drugs in US are nonRx in other countries. Central nervous system stimulants are antidepressant, but technically the term only refers to tricyclics.
Study meaningless and useless.
On a brighter note; Good, bad or indifferent, if the volume of drugs used for psychos was not there, the hospital beds would be fuller than they are now, probably a waiting list, if you think the crime level is high now.
One of my Draper relatives, a clinical pathologist, runs the labs for 2 nationwide chains, one of which just received the state contract for the lab work for all the correctional facilities in Utah. You wouldn't believe the efforts made by inmates to not take the antipsychotics.
