Michigan, I was honored to work with the 5th SF at Ban Me Thuot in 1971 when they weren't there doing what Nixon said they weren't. They made me an honorary Greenie Beanie, which I treasure.

My Dad was one of those thousands of Viet Nam Vets. Two tours and came back with the scars and Agent Orange poisoning to prove it.
I thanked him before he passed away and I thank all of the Vets who served over there, whether combat or support services.

I feel we Vietnam vets have left a legacy we can be proud of.
Somewhere in the period after that war was over we informally promised ourselves we would do what we could to make sure everyone in the services heard that they were appreciated.
I think we have done pretty well at that.
