I highly doubt the mods on Gunbroker will let you post it. I spend quite a bit of on those forums and they stand pretty hard on their rules. They will ding you for going around the auction system, and then they will ding you because they want auction side stuff to stay on the auction side.
You could complain on the auction side about listing and then selling outside the auction system, but that won't do you much good either. They obviously didn't contact you first. They will get dinged, but you may very well get suspended for bypassing the fees.
Not picking on you, just trying to let you know what to expect. Good luck getting your issue resolved, and I hope you do...

Most online sellers are honest people , but you will find a few that are nothing but cheats. You will have a hard time getting a refund and if you ship back the gun you may lose both the cash and the gun. Mark it up as a lesson, by dealing outside the auction site. If the guy had been honest from the start he wouldn't have sold the gun outside the auction to keep from paying their fee. That should have been a warning from the start. You are not the first and sure won't be the last getting buttphucked with online gun sellers
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

Tin Star Shooting Range will [bleep] you over too if you let them... These guys had a bunch of guns listed that I was looking at, but as I looked them over something just told me to stay away from them...glad I did.

I bought a couple guns from Shelby (Harris) over the last 15-20 years. He was ALWAYS difficult to deal with, but it sounds like he's gotten even worse. IIRC he's located just outside of St. Louis, MO He specializes in having hard to find guns, and he knows it, so it allows him to be the way he is.

Yes, he was selling hard to get items at way overprice on Gunsamerica a few years back. Glad I stayed clear of him.

Good point in this response. Buyer is not the only one who went around GB. An established seller on their site is also going around them if it makes a sale. In other words they do anything they want to make a sale. And to hell with the agreement they signed to do business as a seller on GB. It's really hard to understand how a company can risk their reputation to make a sale. I guess its just the almighty dollar. Be safe

I might have missed it but where's he located??
FWIW - I almost got ripped off by a guy named Greg Putz (LaPorte, IN) until his local PD contacted him. I had the $$ shortly afterwards. IME - guys like this are often well know as scum in their area and the police are happy to have a chance to bust their nuts..... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> Good luck. IIRC, Gunbroker addresses this in its policies in that if you go outside the auction process, you lose their protection. I would try to contact the dealer’s local LE. Someone else mentioned this and it may be enough to move him off of TDC. It may also constitute mail fraud. Edit…I Can’t believe I posted on this ancient thread. 😳😁
