Anyone have one of these? I grew up using a 35 Remington pump and enjoy the cartridge. I like the idea of the stainless single shot since late season weather is usually wet. Appreciate any input.

Academy Sports used to carry the CVA in 35 REM. But no longer offer it. I wish I would have bought an H&R single shot in 35 REM back when they offered it. They are very hard to find

I’d look into the current .35Rem ammo situation before diving off into any new rifles. With that being said, I’m a fan of the CVA single shots. Maybe the Buckhammer will catch on and ammo will be plentiful enough to start seeing single shots.
Now with even more aplomb

Like the .35 rem. Have a 760 and a Contender. And over a dozen boxes of factory Hornady ammo. Plus a few Remington. Not enough to play with, but plenty for hunting LOL
Have dies, brass and powder, but want the 200gr FTX bullets, which I haven't found. May end up casting some at a buds.
Not worried about the ammo deal.

I have a Traditions G2 in 35 Rem, which has a Cerakote finish rather than stainless steel. It is actually one of the more accurate rifles I own at 100 yards, but then all of my rifles are hunting rifles. So far it likes Remington factory loads the best, but does okay with Hornady factory and handloads with the 180 gr Speer. I took a whitetail doe 3 years ago with that handload. I need to try loading-up some rounds with 200 gr roundnose bullets to see if it tightens up my groups at all. It is my go-to rifle when the weather turns nasty.

They are very hard to find I'm still kicking myself for not picking up one of the stainless CVAs in 35 Rem pretty cheap several years ago. I thought about it several times because a LGS had them, but they dropped the chambering while I was hemhawing on it.

I bought one years ago and it is a solid rifle that shoots well and has stacked up some deer and hogs. It is now only used as my Louisiana legal muzzleloader on rainy day hunts. TC Hawken and Kibler Colonial have taken front row for muzzleloader hunting.

They actually have nice triggers, and I don't GAS about babying them so they're perfect for bad weather.

I've got one in 300 Blackout, and I love it. I just wish I'd gotten one in 35 Rem, too.

Bought the CVA in 35 Whelen only because I reload. 35 Rem in the contender. Ammo situation right now is a tough call. Until large rifle primers are available my plinking will be mostly with those that use small rifle primers! (223,243,308)
