I had one of the better family vacations that I’ve been on. A week in Florida with my wife and kids. We went to a few of the tourist traps and got to hangout with my mom, brother, sister and their families. The kids had a great time and the weather was great.

We came home to rain and cool weather but the dog was happy to see us so there was that and I had something waiting for me at my local gun shop… A CZ Safari Classic action to build a dangerous game rifle chambered in 404 Jeffery on.

Where ya sending that CZ off to?

I’m on a pre wait, wait list to send it to Tim at Matrix Rifles in CO. He took over the CZ upgrades that AHR was doing but he seems to be dealing with some health issues and a backlog right now. To be honest I have a few too many irons in the fire at the moment so don’t mind a little bit of a wait.

Family vacations are usually a blast. That is unless you have a teenager in tow

I have a son that will be 20 in a few weeks. I mostly raised him but spent most of 18 years in never ending custody battles from hell and dealing with crazy allegations by his mother and grandparents. The strife that was caused still impacts our relationship. He’s a great MAGA kid but we’re still working through issues between us that we don’t see eye to eye over.

I was struggling to make ends meet the first 10 years of his life and regret that things were harder for him. I’d like to do a hunt/vaca trip just the two of us next year. He’s not as into guns or shooting as I am but he’s into it enough that it’s something that we connect over along with conservative politics.
