Have a Remington Model 17 for sale. Is a 20 gauge with a 26 inch barrel and a MOD choke. Overall I’m good condition. Does have a aftermarket recoil pad on it. Very similar to a prewar Ithaca 37. Handles nicely!!

Was the buttstock cut to add the pad? What's the LOP to the end of the wood (i.e. not including the pad)? Thanks.

The accepted way to measure LOP is from the middle of the front of the trigger to the middle of the butt-pad or butt-plate.

My wife has a 20-gauge Model 17 that looks just about exactly the same--except it still has the factory butt-plate. The LOP is 14".

Don't pull the trigger back. Leave it in the unfired position. Given that looks like about 14" to me
