A severe tornado struck Little Rock, Arkansas, this afternoon. My brother and sister-in-law live there. The tornado touched down about eight blocks from their house. No real damage to their house but lots of serious damage to homes and businesses. They are without electricity, too. From the pictures I've seen, I would not be surprised if there were some fatalities there.
I am glad my brother and S-i-L escaped damage to their home and person, but sympathize with those who've lost their homes, lives, and businesses.

"Always go straight forward, and if you meet the devil, cut him in two and go between the pieces." (William Sturgis, clipper ship captain, 1830s.)
Lots of damage in West Little Rock, North Little Rock and Sherwood. TV said University of Arkansas Medical Center was operating at Level three. I have no idea what that is. Other places around the state hit too. miles
Just back from my morning walk, turned on TV looks like my hometown Wynne, Ar. in NE Ar. got hit hard by two twisters. Posted yesterday in thread how this storm started to rotate about 10 miles SW of our house here in the Ouachita Mtns, SW Ar. and tracked NE from here. Wynne is about 3hrs NE from where we live now.
I'll make phone calls later to get update from grand Nieces that live in Wynne.
4 confirmed dead and about 30 injured in Wynne. The tornado tore through the center of town. Took out the highschool and the black part of town got flattened. 2 CNAs at Mom's nursing home live in Wynne and lost their houses.
