My son is looking for a reliable, inexpensive, quality red dot for a Glock 19. In the $200-$250 range.
I know, pick two.
We are new to the red dot experience.
Can you direct us to several candidates?

I only use Trjicon and Holosun. You can get a Holosun 507C for around $320.
I've never used one but I hear talk about the Primary Arms red dots and people seem to like them.They can be had for around $175.

Recently purchased a Holosun HS507C X2 mainly due to its reputation for ruggedness and reliability. Within your budget range I'd recommend the HS 407C X2 - it's basically the exact same sight as the 507 but only has a 2 MOA dot reticle, not the dot and circle reticle of the 507. Amazon has them for $244.99 which seems to be a pretty standard retail price, or you can find pre-owned or "new other" - new but damaged packaging mostly - on ebay for less. I would have heartily recommended a Burris Fastfire III since I have eight of them, but I finally broke one today on a 9mm pistol so that recommendation went out the window...

I like the RMR or 407/507c dots, but, to try one out, the Primary Arms Classic I put on my Dagger has impressed me. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/k5rL8Sdk/IMG-20230215-170218447.jpg) I've actually carried it. I got the Dagger and the dot to make a range toy, but it's been 100% reliable, and I'm liking the dot.
