While I've been collecting for decades, and I still don't know why I waited as long as I did to start collecting Savage levers (about 5 years ago), I'm up to 9 now.

I just finished my very first restoration of a 1913 1899H takedown in 22HP.

I replaced the broken Marbles #16 front sight and recontoured the Marbles S1 peep.

They function perfectly, but my eyesight, for lack of a better word, sucks.

With glasses on, I can see the sight picture well but the target is blurry.

With them off, I can see the target great, but the sight picture is blurry.

This is why I only hunt with scoped rifles.

To the point, I would like to get a Lightfoot scope base for this and wonder if they are still being made.

All help appreciated !

Stay tuned. But in the meantime try shooting with a cheap pair of low power reading glasses, say 1.00 or 1.25 diopters. It solved the problem for me when my aging eyes turned against me (but when I had cataract surgery that got fixed and now I have the eyeball of a 20 year old, sort of).
