In cleaning out a drawer full of miscellaneous stuff I've accumulated over the years, i blue an lock to hold it erect and both mounting screws. The tang portion has about 90% blue and the stem nearly 100%.

I bought this intending to mount it on a Model 99R in .300 I owned, then found a 99F in .300 that was factory drilled and tapped and sold the 99R, acknowledging that 69 year old eyes need more help than a peep sight in the deer woods will provide.

So, what's one of these critters worth? I'm selling off stuff like this because my kids have no interest in shooting and it will all likely be dumped or bundled and sent to a local auction house when I go.

Thanks.

Picture would help, there are multiple types of Lyman peep/receiver sights.

Lyman 1A? Early Lyman? Lyman 29 1/2?

Calhoun:

I didn't realize there were multiple versions. Based on an internet search, it appears to be a Lyman 29-1/2.

The 29 1/2 has a flip down aperture, the Lyman 30 1/2 will take a screw-in aperture.

The 29 1/2 ups the value over the Lyman 1A. There's a fairly gray one selling on ebay now, could watch how the price goes.

It's the flip down. Thanks. I'll track that one and see what it goes for.
