Started yesterday about 5 pm and it has rained all night long. Thunder woke me up several time when it shook the house. I'll venture forth and check the rain gauge after I've finished my coffee.

Wont be no 'breaking up the garden' for a while.

Good morning Randy.....

We've been putting up with 6 years worth of rain, but the good Lord cramed it all into the last 5 or 6 months...
Lately its been mixed with snow also, and heavy at times...

Most of the mountain tops are covered with snow down this way...

Winter is the longest and dreariest season of the year around here...

I wish winter would go by as fast as summer seems to do...

But as always, locals especially those with Dope Grows are always running around with their hair on fire, screaming "We need more rain or we all are going to die"... or at least it seems so... Funny tho its usually the hippie types, the ones that need a bath so bad, or the transients who are about the same thing.

I love living here in the mountains and the vast forests and mountains... half the people, and pretty much the state government... NOT so much...

hope you and Jo have a great day my friend.

Calling for rain today, tomorrow , Saturday here…

Figures… off tomorrow for Good Friday. Wanted to do some fishing.

Most of my planting is done.

Couple rows of corn left to plant. Just to cover some open ground.

Re-plant a couple skips that the crows plucked.

I put up fishing line with colored flagging and Walmarks sacks. Works.

Looks trashy from the road. 😂😂😂😂

We got about an inch yesterday before daylight at Buchanan. The lake is about 18 ft low.

Supposed to rain today and tomorrow. I stopped here a day or two on the way back to W Tex after a trip to E Texas.

We are dry as a powderhouse. All rain has been going north and south of us. We need about 6 feet of rain. All stock tanks are dry and creek is dry. Was up in north Texas on business last two days. Damn! Sure is green!!

Three Feet of snow here. The Antelope and Deer are having a mighty tough time this year, and this storm this late in the year is going to cause major die-offs.

Morning Randy, it’s good to see that you’re not “treading water”…..yet! Man, y’all are get’n the rain and the heat!

Garden: Our first year here, I started “breaking ground” for our first garden in February. We just got the snow melted off a few days ago….ground still frozen in spots!

It’s been a pretty ugly winter in Wyoming! A few examples! memtb

In my area corn is planted around the end of March and the first week or two or April. I have seen a couple of fields or corn planted, but not much. Too wet in most fields. Have not been out to the Grand Prairie in a few weeks, but their ground is different, and I expect that there has been lots or corn and rice planted. Not but ten or fifteen miles difference, North to South, but a lot of difference in the farming. miles

Get Steve, and bring some out, Miles.
You'd get a MASSIVE welcome from me - and a hug from Joy, to boot! laugh

A tip from Willie on planting corn when it’s a little wet! 😉 memtb
