4 years since my buddy made the trip North. 4 years he's been dreaming of cold mornings and piles of snow. Well the weather was un cooperative, but as for deer well.................... Lilja barreled Rem 700 in 270WSM, Mc Swirlly stock, 140gr. AB Factory fodder, at the wopping distance of 85yards.

This deer is likely about only 3 1/2 years old, definatly no older than 4 1/2. Still had dainty feet, and decent dental work too.

outstanding looking deer!
How did you get the second photo of the buck to pose like that? Wait till he froze stiff? lol

It is also the day after since he was shot 10 minuites before dark, and the night time photos looked aweful, we hung him and tied his head to facilitate a good pose. Also might ad he doesnt have guts enough to try that again if you get what I mean.

I saw a few things proping up in the back but what puzzles me is how you got him to "look" to the left.
Most of my deer heads flop around.

A little larger in the body than those Texas bucks, eh?
