G, I hate to break it to you but Jim Beam, although a wonderful booze, is in fact sour mash. Well, they say you're never too old to learn something..... It seems the piillars of the earth just shook. Ive been drinking Beam since 1969. "Is Jim Beam a Sour Mash? Jim Beam is an original Kentucky bourbon. And yes, it is made using the sour mash process. This beverage is definitely considered a sour mash bourbon, though it’s just marketed as bourbon." https://www.upthirst.com/sour-mash-vs-bourbon/So no wonder I've been feeling fuzzy lately. What the hey! Fcukme if I can't take a joke! ya! GWB I wouldn't worry about it G, If Col. Beam has treated you well for over 50 years its probably a safe bet no matter the mash brewing process. I say enjoy what tastes good to you. Cheers my friend

Cigarettes and booze are 2 things that those that are addicted to or dependent on will not take a moral stance by boycotting! They might talk a big game but at the end of the day they’ll buy the cigarettes and booze that they always buy even if it means that by doing so they themselves are transformed into transgendered homos. 😂
There will be nothing more than the grinding of teeth and bold statements thrown around.
Smokers and boozers are not going to give up their guilty pleasures in exchange for taking a “STAND” against the immorality of the current marketing campaign by their favorite booze companies. 😂
Casual drinkers might switch brands but they are not the “target audience”… And there you have it. They have co-opted much of the industry. It becomes known, and LGBXZY goes on the offense. Outing everyone. Putting folks right where they want to be. Able to justify supporting the supporters of deviants. "They all do it. I'm gonna...XXXXXXX...anything I want.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

Me either, remember when Yeti went anti-2A and folks were shooting/burning/blowing up their expensive Yeti coolers. Someone on here suggested selling it on Craigslist for cheap. It accomplishes getting rid of the offending item and robbing Yeti of another sale.
Of course you can't get much for part of a bottle of Jack, so I'd just finish up (never admit the shame publicly) and pick something else going forward. That's just me, but I admire the enthusiasm!

Think just about everyone that drinks or drank, goes thru a Jack Daniel's stage. Remember chugging outta a bottle many times. Then eventually you realize the basic charcoal after taste and the feeling in your stomach and a burp from it kinda sucks.
Liked wild turkey and early times much better for a inexpensive whiskey and bailed on Jack Daniel's.
Jack Daniel's going woke to appeal to younger overall demographics means they are needing market and don't care what their diminishing older demographics think. It's a #,s game for them.
Just like the " trendy cool woke" commercials I been seeing on TV with Johnny Walker of all things.
Those commercials are woke as hell....
Their weirdo,s #,s are expanding. Older Normal types are not.
Companies pander to larger population groups they see as their future to gain consumers in the long term versus another group fading away and take the calculated short term hit and outrage as part of market and demographic shift in the long term.
More and more companies will continue to go woke to appeal to the freak show younger expanding market.
Fuuuuk em all in the neck with a fish head.....

More and more companies will continue to go woke to appeal to the freak show younger expanding market. This. These companies, even traditional ones, don't give a fùck about you. Even if you have been a loyal customer for decades. They're looking for future sales. You are not the future market. You mean nothing to them. Coming soon - the Zebco 303 Rainbow Pride edition

It is truly heartening to see the degree of personal sacrifice that so many are willing to suffer in defense of our way of life.

I have had similar experience at a large Publishing House I once worked for. We were one company in a family of companies owned by the Mother Ship. I personally worked directly for three CEO's that didn't make their "numbers". They were let go with "Golden Parachutes".
I was next in line but quit to start my own publishing company. Now no one can fire me. But, no Golden Parachute. I'm not trying to pick on you, Spanky. The market actually works when it comes to your products. But the market fails when it comes to oligopolies. There ain't no way some business like P&G is going bankrupt or is even going to be corrected. I've been in their HQ and it looks like a damned pride parade.

There are thousands of Campfire members. Why not prepare a list of "approved products"?
Beers, wines, bourbons, scotches, gins, tequilas, cigars, cigarettes, bullets, guns, trucks, cars, clothing, etc. and etc.
I doubt our support for any one product would move their needle but it could make us all feel warm and fuzzy.
Since bourbon seems to be on everyone's mind at the moment let us start there: What should be the Campfire Approved Bourbon?

There are thousands of Campfire members. Why not prepare a list of "approved products"? There's already lists of Woke companies. Trouble is, it's too hard for even a small group to keep up with and the list is too long to consult every time or even most times you shop. We've tried implementing the Benedict Option. Even that is all but impossible in practice.

However, Perhaps that deed is a personal confirmation of one's commitment not to purchase the item in the future. Quien Sabe, GWB

I can always set my still back up... Dang! You took it down? I taught my buddy how to make it a few yrs ago, he's been using mine plus two others I helped him build. My biggest problem is I have nowhere to set it up here at the house.
