Epps store in Orillia, Ontario had (Sold) what they called a deluxe carbine in 250 Savage, #400XXX. It appears to actually be a 250 Model T, missing original real sight, added swivels, receiver sight. Not an RT as it has 20 inch barrel and T checkering on forearm. Link will probably be taken down soon. https://ellwoodepps.com/hunting/firearms/savage-99-deluxe-carbine.html?___SID=SI didn't get to see it ... or I know I would have brought it home. BillR

Sweet. Looks like it used to wear a tang sight. Bet somebody pulled a Lyman 30 1/2 off before selling it.

Nice snag/good price for someone. I could live with the sling swivels. GW

Well my only positive take away from this is that neither Wes the owner, nor Michael one of this lead hands at Epps have bought or read either your book Rory, or David's. There is still hope of finding a 250 Deluxe Carbine out there someday.
