Funny , I had a 308 Norma that had been a 3006 rechambered. Might be worth a look.

If the action is good, I would be interested in it. I need a donor gun for a 35 Whelen project. Let me know if you think it would work for that. I don't have PM priveleges, but please email me at chrisfrnsnyahoo.com

Was also going to ask if it had been opened up? A chamber casting would have been easy and cheap enough to do and to know exactly what you are dealing with. Any way you look at it Kenster got a fair deal here.

It probably is a proper 300 h& h magnum looking at the case. I had thoughts of d&t for scope use, or re-barreling if its not a 300 h&h . I had an enfield at one time in 404 Jeffries express , it was a great rifle!
Having said all that, I will gladly buy the rifle , unless you really have sellers remorse and would have kept it knowing it was something other than 06 chambering. If you were to keep it, hopefully you would not re list it for sale .
Anyway, I will gladly buy it, or you keep it, up to you.
I dont want to benifit from someones mistake.

My exact thoughts. That's what it looks like to me. Definitely not a 308 Norma mag, like someone else alluded to. Looks like a nice rifle. Maybe the buyer can get it figured out. I'd leave it as a 300H&H, or rechamber to 300WBY at this point. Looks like it has potential of being a sweet rifle though.

Hell yes it was common. As was 308 Norma and 300WBY. Those m1917's worked very well with the magnums cartridges like those.
