Btdt....

Their is a cure for that pad.

Cut rectangle with Dremel thru inside flat steel mold liner just under the hard plastic.
Pry up with screw driver to cut off with exacto knife.
Now the fun begins once you get the inside exposed.
Start digging out the inside of it on shallow angle with bent needle nose pliers, dental picks, Dremel debriders, shallow bent clothes hangers heated up with lighter.

Wunderbar....
After about 2 days of 4 to 5 hrs digging , feeling , pulling out tiny bb sized to pea sized chunks of rubber if ya can get the little SOB,s the further in you get, you have a hollowed out mossberg recoil pad that works and has 1/4 to 1/2 walls 360Β° all around it that appear perfectly normal to eye.
And it actually works.

Needed a 835 project to tame being I had one before and liked I’m gonna try filling the stock via your method btw where’s slum lort

I have killed 40 45 ish Tom's with a 835.
Hunted with a Savage Steven's 311 12 sxs for about 12 yrs prior.
Killed alot of birds with that but also lost alot of opportunities not having that extra 10 to 15 yds with it at times.

835,s....

Not sexy in many people's eyes
Hard recoiling also too many.
Patterning one is punishment...

Honestly never have been affected by recoil when touching off a round on a Tom.

Felt it..
But not like multiple rds off a bench and bags Patterning one sitting up right in a chair at a bench.

But they throw a hellava pattern once you figure out what your particular one likes for a choke and shell combo.

March to your own beat man and use what works for you.
