Burris FFII 3-9x40...I thought I'd try to locate one of these to try. Never owned a Burris before. You guys seem to recommend staying with the ones made in the Philippines. Are they marked with "Made in the Philippines" or does the serial number indicate where it was made?

When new there's a little sticker on the bottom of the turret housing showing Made in Philippines. Before that they were Made in USA. Now they're discontinued so those are the only two options.

Nothing wrong with the American made ones, as well. Those are usually marked, "Made in the USA" around the circumference of the ocular.


Although, they are a little harder to find than the Philippine ones and more expensive, when you do find one.

I have one that is like new. I mounted it on my backup rifle and zeroed it. It has some nearly invisible ring marks and otherwise perfect. I would take 95.00 shipped. It has a ballistic plex reticle. (matte)

Have several on ignore for same reason.

I generally don't put anyone on ignore, unless I see they are a scammer in the classifieds section. Too bad on both parties. The scope was offered to the OP, not a free for all to anyone.

Had same thing happen in wtb ads.

The OP had a bit over 24 hrs. to answer me here or in PMs. I agree he should have been given first crack and was. It was offered at a decent price and accepted by the buyer in a "Fair" amount of time by both parties. Now....if anyone wishes to put me on ignore, have at it. BTW my Ex hasn't spoken to me in 35 yrs. so you can join her in delivering your new found peace and quiet.

I didn't get it but I'm not going to waste time and energy on getting upset about it. There are always other deals coming down the road, just like this one did. Let's make sure we put a little more effort into being civil and less into being ugly toward one another.

That sounds more than fair. In any event, it was YOUR property. Anyone who’s putting you on ignore is doing you a favor by staying out of your life.

IMO, there's an assload of FFII fakes/replica/bullchit on Ebay...
