I’ve always said that if God had intended for deer to be trophies, He’d have made them outta bronze. Dealing with the weather and the terrain is supposed to be part of the hunt. A small doe that’s earned by hunting is a much better and more meaningful than paying some clown thousands of bucks to shoot something like that. 7mm
"Preserving the Constitution, fighting off the nibblers and chippers, even nibblers and chippers with good intentions, was once regarded by conservatives as the first duty of the citizen. It still is." Wesley Pruden
I don't have a problem with a farmer charging someone to shoot his livestock for him. The purpose of farming is to make a living and if it brings in some money, more power to them. It's in no way hunting and shouldn't be called hunting. It's harvesting livestock and nothing more. If you watch closely, he's wearing a metal ear tag on the right ear. Here in Idaho, privately owned game animals are required to be tagged so they can be told from wild animals should they escape. Plus, any livestock breeding program must have a way to identify each animal.

Biggest buck I’ve killed to date is 158in bc I hunted that specific buck for 2years only costed me sleep sweat and 1 308 bullet and I can see the house from there.
I agree with the analysis and comment about this sad situation - particularly the genetic manipulation - and those who pay to shoot deer that yard are not hunters.
Why do we learn to hunt - and do it - in the first place?
Then again, the corruption of a sport is not anything new in this population.

You there hold up!!
Shooting them yard deer, eh?
Just joshing ya.
Lots of big Whitetals hang close to houses and it doesn’t make them any easier to get.

I agree with you whole heartedly. That said, mine (and yours) is a view that is losing favor among more and more hunters over the years.
