Butch, try John Taylor at Taylor Machine. He did a Model 1890 in 22 WRF for me a few years ago. Email is best way to contact him. https://johntaylormachine.com/

Ditto John Taylor.
Just a commentary regarding semantics: how did we evolve into calling it "relining", if a barrel hasn't already been lined once before? The misuse of the term is firmly rooted in our "gun language" now, it would seem!

I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

Oh no! It wasn't a dig at you Butch!! Merely an observation of how errant word usage somehow takes root in our vernacular.

I looked at TJ's Liners and see that Todd offers a bunch of .40 liners: various bore dimensions and three different twist rates. 5/8" outside diameter. $5.20 per inch. For my money I'll always go with TJ's - excellent quality (match grade), perfect dimensions, plus they're hammer forged not button rifled like Redman's liners (which is what Brownell's sells I think). I never lined a barrel that big, only have done .22's with their liners. Only problem with TJ's is getting through to them, they're a one and/or two man operation and they prefer to work instead of answer the phone. Email is best, they will get back to you, eventually.
