OP scotts308 Campfire Member S Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 208 Chocowinity	Killed my first tom turkey today. 18.36 lbs. 9 1/2 beard 1 inch spurs. Called it in myself with a box call. Solo hunt and no decoy. Very blessed. Called to him for right at 3 hours before pulling the trigger. I went out to the hunt club at first light to do some scouting for a hunt planned with a friend on sunday. Planned on patterning the shotgun as well as i hadnt shot it since last March. I am not a good caller (my buddy is} but thought hey, im heading out to the club with my shotgun may as well bring a camo jacket and my facemask as well as my box call. Never know what may happen. I parked the truck and immediately heard two gobblers at about 200-300 yards. shot him on the same dirt path my truck was parked on...
