Need one and can’t find the right one outside of a toyota dealer. Darn if I didn’t get it all out and had the wrong Dorman motor. 742-600 and 742-601 Both have a star wheel type drive. Mine has a square drive with round hole in it. Pics to follow The one in my 4r is 85720-35160 Any leads on those at something significantly less than $300? Auto zone, Napa have nothing, or that’s what they say. Can’t locate one at rock auto.com. Looks like 85720-35161 might replace mine. Any help,is appreciated, got all the dust and 1/2” of caked on kid out of the bottom of the door panel and would love to put it back together and have window operable for less than $100 if possible. Or a person at a toyota dealership that’s able to pass on a discount, doesn’t seem like a simple motor is worth 300 when doeprman makes almost the right thing for $65 or so. Thanks, Jon

About right. Dorman is cheaply made crap. Their reputation in the repair industry is mud. So you get what you pay for.

Don’t see a match, no products found from Aisin or bellexusnorth. Wonder if it’s strictly a toyota part and no one’s making it aftermarket.

Never buy from dealership parts counter. If you purchase through their online parts, prices are always cheaper. Most, but not all dealerships offer parts online. If not local, you will have to get the part shipped. I have purchased from Camelback Toyota before. See if discount code TWpartz still works. I think it’s a 10% discount. https://parts.camelbacktoyota.com/https://parts.camelbacktoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-window-motor-8572035161?c=cT04NTcyMC0zNTE2MA%3D%3D Just buy the Toyota part.

Anyone know if I disconnect the motor, will the window stay up? I can re attach the spool that winds the cable via the motor, but the screws that hold it in are on the motor, I could probably zip tie it temporarily while the motors getting rebuilt. Or I could take it to Commerce city and see what they say, maybe take it out there and wait around and offer a 12 pack to make it happen sooner than later. Thanks

I'd secure it just in case, you don't want it falling down and shattering. If you manage to successfully have it rebuilt, post back and let us know what it cost. There's a little auto electric shop near me that I use occasionally for rebuilding obsolete parts. It's been there forever and owned by a little old guy, he must be 70 now. His rates probably aren't much to judge by.
