New today. I received my 22 Creedmoor. SS 700, Pac-Nor Lightweight contour, cut to 22", 1-7 twist in a 18 oz MPI Compact. Weight with 4-12 Leupold with low Leupold DD"s is 6 lb 8.9 oz. I shot off my front porch at about 25 yards and got it close with 3 shots. I cleaned it after each shot for those 3. Even though it was pretty windy I took it to my 100 yard range. Weather said 16-32 mph winds but it was straight behind me. I loaded 44.0 grains of H1000 and 75 grain ELD-M's and got that data off of Petersons brass site. First group at 100, shots 4-5-6 Shots 7-8-9. Looks like this one will shoot.

At 6 1/2 pounds, it shouldn't be carrying much weight up front. The stubby forearm makes it appear like it is. The scope and mounts would help to bring the balance back. Looks funny but functional. GD

Is it as bow heavy,as it looks? Hint.............. Actually not. Balance is about 1/4" ahead of the forward guard screw. I'll get around 100 rounds fired and then check how it compares to my 22" Lilja barreled Montana in 22-250 AI with RL 17, the powder I use in the AI.

I spent a little time with the not bow heavy, funny looking Creed today to find pressure with RL 17 and 88's. Loaded up 6 with 88's and RL 17. 36.5. 37.0, 37.5, 38.0, 38.5, and 39.0 the load I use in my 22-250 AI. The one a little left was cold and clean and the high one was 39.0. It will fool my friend that think you have to have a long barrel on a rifle. I think I would prefer 20" on this one but I doubt I will cut it. Pretty handy little 6 llb 8.8 oz rifle. I have to admit I prefer the Montana 22-250 AI over the Remington but that has nothing to do with the cartridge. i am also sure that younger eyes that haven't seen laser surgery3 times would certainly do better. An oh yea, there is that Leupold thing.

I'm not going to give any velocity on the Creed until I get 100- 150 rounds down the barrel The 22-250 AI velocity is 3178 out of this barrel, a Lilja 1-7 with 88 ELD-M's and 39 grains of RL17 but don't take that as a safe load in your rifle.

Love mine, 75’s exclusively. 👍
Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.

I spent a little time with the not bow heavy, funny looking Creed today........ The whole "balancing at the XXX" is sooooooooooo gat-damned overrated anyway. I shoot a whole lot better off-hand with a little weight out front. Nice rifle, friend!

With "only" 100+ Custom Rifles and the simplistic fact that MPI is THE biggest piece of fhuqking schit I've ever owned and only (6) 224 Speedmires in the larder,I'm happy to learn that the OP's rifle defies Physics. Hint.
Fhuqking LAUGHING!..............

Fhuqking LAUGHING!.............. I'm never going to spend my money on another MPI either. It was a mess. I have no reason to lie about where it balances. It did turn out pretty well though and shoots good so far,

22 Creedmoor will be my next build………after I get done playing with my 308’s which may be a while.
I do have lots of 22 Creedmoor brass though.
