Finally got you beat on something Shrap! I had a two minute turkey hunt near Baker one fall. Snuck up on them with a red Dodge Dakota....steathily stalked over to the nearest corral post for a rest, and ....done! Our Merriams aren't quite as shy as the wary eastern wild turkeys...I actually had to sit next to a tree in my red plaid jacket for a few minutes to bag the last one of those I got. Nope, not a valid calling situation. If you want to talk slide and shoot from a moving truck, I’m sure I can place in the top 2 of that too…

back in the 70's threw the early 90's I turkey hunted in the Northern Lower of Michigan only had 4 days to hunt back then....I would say 50% of the time there was snow and not very warm this week hunting.....
Now I wait until May and turkey hunt and have the hole month to get out....
Did hear guys that got a permit for the opening had snow.....I really don't miss turkey hunting in the snow .....

Pine needle turkey.....mmmmmm. I know where there's a herd of about 50 corn fed. They've been strutting around for a week or two now. The other 50 that sift through the cow turds are a little wilder but not much. And Shrap, please be careful out in those brutal conditions!

How big is an 18 pound Turkey, sure 18 pounds, but is that sizeable?
