That’s what a friend of mine calls it. Cool way to remember the hunt. The brass is the shell that killed the turkey.
Here’s this springs bird and with one of my favorite ones with ivory colored spurs.

Those look good. I just can’t bring myself to ruin a reloadable hull! lol
How do you attack the beard and leather cord under the hull? I’m guessing just wrapping them with thread?

Punch out the primer. Take a piece of wooden dowel, cut to length and stained, and glue it in the brass. Drill a hole in the end for the beard and glue it in. When dry put the spurs on the leather lacing and glue that in the primer hole. Write the date on the back side. Pretty easy.
Hardest part is cleaning up the spurs.
Makes a nice remembrance of the hunt.
