Woke up to fresh snow here in WI.

Since 1887, Green Bay has recorded measurable snow on 22 days during the month of May. To put it into perspective, that is 22 days out of 4,217 days or 0.4%. Measurable snow has been recorded in Green Bay as late as May 28th (1947) when 3.0 inches fell on the city.

My brother called me last night to tell me a big branch has broken off one of the trees in the front yard. The leaves haven't even budded out yet. It must of been a pretty big microburst. The farm is southwest of Des Moines by about 40 miles.

We've had our share of wind in so. Idaho this spring. I need to put on some metal roofing but I'm not about to get up there in the wind. I'd get either kited off the roof or sliced and diced by sharp edges.

It’s been howling here for days and I believe forecast for more. Must be tough for the turkey hunters.

I had my shooting teams on the blocks yesterday during the blow and it was an interesting learning day for them.

I totally agree and was telling someone this last week. It's ridiculous, I have never seen the amount of tree debris around my yard that I have had this year. The next three days here are 15-25 gusting 45-50.

I remember getting to Sturgeon Bay the first of May in 1989. I had been stationed in Puerto Rico for the 2 previous years and had not seen temps below 75 degrees. On the 10th we got 8 inches of heavy wet snow. I froze my butt off that entire summer! Welcome to Wisconsin!

Just a light breeze in Wyoming.

I remember one spring in southeast Idaho, '95 or '96 it seems. The wind kicked up to about 30 or 35 from the south (IIRC) and blew steady for about three weeks...non-stop. It was miserable. We had spring windstorms in El Paso in the 1960s and early 70s that would last a day or two sometimes, kicking up to about 40 mph from the west. Dust and sand would get in the house through even the smallest hint of an air leak in a window. Still get those on occasion. That sucked but it was usually over in a day. I'll take that over 3 weeks of non-stop blow.

I’ll say. Yesterday was worse here. Literally howling in the mid-30’s mph.
