Went to the range today to shoot my new to me .375 pulling the trigger was like pulling against a wall.I went back home and pulled out my .35 and .44 all marlins the .375 was 7.1lbs the .35 4.5lbs and the .44was 3.7lbs all factory triggers.Looks like a trigger is in order.

My Marlins (JM & Remlin) all have trigger pull in the 4lb range like your 44 & 35. What trigger are you considering?

I prefer classic.

I put WWG in a 444 and it is nice. I've also "cleaned Up" some factory triggers that are real nice.

I’d bet there’s videos on-line that shows how to clean up a 336.

You could probably do a slick down and cleaning to help it. Go to the "Marlin Owner's Forum", I think there's some trigger info on there among other good things. They have helped me a few times with my Marlins.

Wild West trigger is really good, just not cheap.

I really like mine.
