I have a post 64 Model 88 in 308. It's a fine hunting rifle in my opinion.

I have my father’s 88 in 308 that my mom bought him as a gift in the 70’s. He had the stock refinished and it is beautiful. That one will never leave the family. Had a few other pre 64 88s that have come and gone over the years, but this carbine 284 has found a permanent home.

Handsome rifle, quality refinish and interesting family connect. I particularly like the Carbines! Is that stock effect the result of "flaming"? Thanks for sharing.
Best!

The 284 carbine pictured above hasn’t been refinished. The stock is actually kinda rough. I wiped it down with some Ballistol Oil (sp?). Looks a lot nicer in the picture than in person. Definitely has a few miles in the woods behind it.

Asking $2,000 with scope and rings. I will take $1,500 without the scope and rings. Feel free to ask for more information or make an offer. This gun comes with the original box and a paperwork. It has less than 3 boxes of .308 shot through it. This gun is in near perfect condition. Thanks for looking.
