The bore looks unfired.

I paid $560 from a guy who bought it from a very old and blind man and his wife for $250 earlier this week.

The sights are old but not original to the rifle as King was not making sights till about 10 years later.

Nice older rifle at a fair price and in a cheap-to-shoot caliber...enjoy.

Nice rifle, and you definitely won't have trouble picking up ammo for it. I think you'll like the way it shoots, I love those old ones.

The barrel bore looks like new.
On the barrel 24" barrel with .726" choke = cylinder, choke walls .047" thick muzzle diameter .820"
a) so is not a candidate for REMCHOKE threads [not .845" OD for 814"-32tpi]
b) not a candidate for standard True Choke [.825" OD for .795"-44tpi]
c) is a candidate for Tru-Choke� Thinwall-style [ .805" OD min for .775"-44tpi]
d) is a candidate for swaging muzzle for the larger minor diameter taps
