I have a 6.5-06 built on one, bought a couple of years ago. It shoots really well. Don’t know who built it

There was a thread or two on those a few years ago. IIRC they are reportedly solid, but need a good bit of finishing up.
You might try PMing TC1 about them. He might have had one done. If my recollection is faulty, I apologize in advance to both of you!
What fresh Hell is this?

Yes... That's a great looking stock. Where did you get it ? From the gunsmith who built the rifle. He had a selection of stock blanks in shop and I choose the blank that is now on the rifle above.

They are square bridges but they have some odd- ball dovetail milled in that differs from front to rear. I guess i have to decide if i want to mill the existing dovetail to match Talley or screw and pin the Talley bases to it...

You might try PMing TC1 about them. He might have had one done. If my recollection is faulty, I apologize in advance to both of you! Yeah, I had Mark Stratton put one together for me years ago. At that time you could still buy rings that were cut for the factory bridges. I bet that's dried up by now. I found an old "guild" barrel that was octagon with a full integral rib and thought the square bridges would make a nice addition. It was bored out to a .338-06. I built the stock on it and am reasonably happy with the results. Doumlin was just one of the names they put on these. They are all the same action though. Not as slick as a FN but maybe a little better than a Charles Daily. I've enjoyed mine. Terry

Dennis, Stan Ware had one of those in his shop with tapered dove tails for Sako pattern rings. Are yours tapered? -Al
