I am looking at a Bushnell Forge 3-24x56 with the German 4i reticle. Do any of you have a forge with the German 4 reticle? I am curious how big the center dot is. Euro optic has these on sale for $500 and I thought it looked like a lot of glass for the money but this would probably be going on a prairie dog rifle and I wouldn’t want a real large dot. I’m not concerned about the illumination as it would be on a daytime rifle. I read one review that said the dot was about the size of the wide outer lines. According to the picture, and I know pictures can be deceiving, it doesn’t appear to be anything that large. Does anyone have real life experience with one?

No experience or hard fact dimensions, but the description did mention this. (You may have already seen it.)

"The German #4i reticle is thin and features 6 illumination settings, enabling fast and easy target acquisition."

So maybe it might work for you. If not maybe a return option?

I think the reticle may be completely usable for my purpose, but what about glass quality? Have any of you guys looked through the Forge line? I spoke with a sales rep at euro optic and he was very helpful. His opinion was the glass got kind of cloudy above 20 power. Now I’m thinking about maybe waiting around until the new Match Pro ED is back in stock and go with that one instead. Thanks

Don't have any experience with that Bushnell, but I got one of these with an illuminated dot for $399, Euro optics had it for $499. I very pleased with it. It is mil adjustments instead of MOA.
