I've been using my Bering Optics as as Thermal Scanner, but would much rather have it on a rifle. I've been considering what hand held thermal scanner to buy. At $399 plus tax and shipping I thought I would give it a try.
I am deep in the IOS system so I got the IOS version. However the Android versions have a couple more options. The vids' show the optic with a laser locater, but mine package did not come so equipped.
I've not yet taken the time to use the video function, but a screenshot. Distance to the house in the foreground I ranged with my Leica LRF 1200 Scan is 130 yds.
That's pretty cool! Had no idea such a product even existed, much less at that price level. At 2x base magnification, it seems like it might be handy for recovering shot game as well. I dig my 3.5x 384Res Axion for scanning bigger areas, but it's not good up close.
I have not yet had the opportunity to use the T2Pro in a hunting application, but did come across this video, which IMHO gives a good illustration of the capabilities of this unit
This is pretty neat ! I can think of a zillion uses, but some questions: can it be mounted to a gun and used for hunting, beyond scanning? how will it manage recoil? Moisture?
Thanks for posting. This is pretty cool tech at a good price.

Yes, along with wet foliage, high temps, etc…..but there’s parts of sensors, lens, and core components that overcome/mitigate performance in adverse conditions. The fact this thing has 12 pp leaves me hopeful that it’ll be as passable as a 17pp device with an objective 1/3 larger….especially in adverse conditions.

We’ll see.
The refresh rate is 25 Hz so it's a bit slow but then the cost is attractive.
My worry would be rain on the USB conections and on the cell phone.
Interested to see more video as I have been doing a large thermal test with many units but all are 384 res or better.

I have all the sources. They can't stop the signal.
I do my best to not be thermal hunting in the rain. If I do, it’s because I got caught in a shower I didn’t foresee, or just plan to hunt in an enclosed blind or stand. I don’t like any of my devices getting wet, but my iPhone (and most phones these days) are at least nano coated internally and on connections for moisture resistance to a pretty good degree, vs just a few years back. Also, I’m sure Scope Guard Alaska could make a custom covering with a cable port for it. They’ve made covers for all of my other stuff. Bottom line is that I’m not sure that that part is a huge worry for me. As for the low refresh rate? As a pure spotter/scanner/passive viewer, I might never notice it….at least compared to my sights, that I’d actually track targets with. Might be able to come up wit some neat mounts for the tiny sensor, too. Just spitballing until I actually get to use one, though. I might hate it. Lol
