Ten buck carne guisada for lunch at Taco Cabana today. Middle son dropped in from Rock Wall for a few days this afternoon and wife is out visiting family outside Chicago so it was pizza delivered from Bergheim for dinner and a few sippings. He is out with the two pups at the moment on the couch next to me.

Had to go up to the Cabin today and access damage from a fallen tree, clean out the 5th wheel parked up there as it sold.

Denny's in Payson... 'value' breakfast was 15 bucks and 3 buck tip... 18 bucks... would have been 14 without coffee.

Wife fried me a hamburger yesterday to take for lunch today. She also took 1/2 of an onion bun and fried and egg with it for my breakfast. She knows I hate buying food out. This evening we had fish and a few shrimp. I’ll be having a few leftovers for breakfast and lunch tomorrow.

I’ll take her out Saturday for our favorite meal since we saved a few bucks this week.

Fuel is expensive.... try ordering cod closer to the source. I bet you got the super fresh "catch of the day" 😂 I bet your ornery azz has never got a smiley face from a waitress on your check either.

Whenever we go to Charleston, we have lunch at Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls. Two lobster rolls, two bags of chips and two sodas is a few cents under $70. Can't afford it often, but it's the best thing I've ever eaten and worth every cent for a treat a couple times a year.

I'm sure that every place can take their menu prices from a few years ago and document each and every cent of price increase matched to cost increase.

yes sir, cod is mo betta than halibut, no matter how you prepare it

over the Mayo sinking wknd I caught king salmon, halibut & cod out on the salt ..

King is always #1

but dang the cod was frickin good roasted with seasonings & bbq sauce in the air fryer & served over a hot plate of freshly steamed jasmine rice

put all 'butt fillets in the freezer for later, the cod & king on top, ha !
