S/S Teflon coated ASC's for me and I expressly drive 10-rounders. They are rugged, fend weather exceptionally and offer the greatest COAL. Win/win/win. Hint...............

Same here. I have had to file out the occasional bit of welding slag on interior areas, but that's about it.

If talking about self defense carbines, I'm fine with 20 or 30rnd Pmags.

Stainless ASC's in this house cause I can take a Hint. grin. 10's when I'm hunting, but there might be a couple of longer ones here too.

Pmags, Surefeed or USGI mags with Magpul followers for me. I prefer 20’s and 30’s.

I stay away from Hex Mags and Amend 2. They might be good but there are better ones.
I got a hold of some by Fab-Tek. They got the steel lips and so far there hasn't been a problem.

I have about 60 GI and pmags. 90% of mine are the 20’s
I have started running some of the Lancer hybrid 20’s and they seem to run great. I bought 6 of them to test. I kinda like the metal top end too

I'm close to Brownells so that is what I typically buy. I have a few Magpulls but mostly Brownells.

I've used many kinds of AR-15 magazines. I still have quite a few GI aluminum type mags w/ the newer followers but mostly I use Magpul PMAGS. They just seem to work under all conditions.

Pmags and Okay mags or Surefeed as they are called now. No need to look farther

JOC was right. The 270 Winchester on a Model 70 is a great combination as is the 30/06 and 375 H&H

Have and use lots of old Universal, AdventureLine, OKAY (= Colt), Simmonds, eieio. They all work - no matter how beat up they appear. No matter how many cycles at shoots. Never even bothered with "anti-tilt" followers. Only issue I ever encountered was need to dress the inside feed lips of D&H with a file so they'd work with steel-cased .223. No big deal.

Heck, I'm old enough to have bought a pile of Orlites. They were sold here as "new" but they were seriously used. As long as feed lips weren't cracked they worked every bit as good as the latest-greatest P-mags or whatever. Like P-mags when you drop them loaded they're apt to spill some rounds. Not a deal-breaker, but there is a reason P-mags are issued with covers. Gave my Orlites to a friend in a ban state.

If I jumped out of perfectly good airplanes, or placed mags under tank treads, might prefer the newer materials. But at my age that ain't happening.

Stainless ASC 10 rounders for 53 V-Maxes. I can sneak bullets out a touch further.
10 and 30 round P Mags for 55 soft points.
Makes it easy to tell what I’m grabbing.

I wait and buy a box full of ASC blems when they have them on sale. It’s just runs or scuffs in the paint every time. SS 20s for me though I do have some of their aluminum jobs too that I keep full of 55gr blasting ammo.

I run Pmags for bulk ammo, ASC and CMMG modified Lancer magazines for hunting. I agree with the Hexmag/Amend statement, I had some loaded with cheap bulk ammo and noticed that they were difficult to seat in the rifle after sitting in the top of the toolbox for a while. I pulled the ammo and thought about chunking them in the trash after robbing the followers and springs.

I bought two 100pk of Pmags with the dust covers from Brownells when they put them on sale for $799 a case and free shipping. I have used probably 30 out of 1 case, gave some to friends, sold a few and still probably have 20 or so from the first case still in the wrappers. Haven't touched the second case except to move it around the shop when reorganizing.

Recently someone had 30rd FDE Pmags with the dust covers on sale for $8 a mag, I bought a couple of dozen of them because I just found them sitting on the shelf in the closet still in the wrappers. I will look thru my emails and see if I can figure out where I bought them. They are hard to beat for use at the range with bulk ammo.

I prefer 10 rounders for hunting. I had one that was a pain to get seated. Looked to see the make so I wouldn’t buy another one. Colt.
